Starter strips must be used for the edges and we like to use Ice and Watershield in low sloped areas or any area of concern. All chimneys must be reflashed with new flashing and all pipe boots must be replaced.

ROOF VENTILATION

Every roof must have proper ventilation. We recommend installing a ridge vent whenever possible. Some roofs ridge vent cannot be installed. For example, most hip roofs do not have much of a ridge at all so it is not beneficial for any ridge vent to be installed. Regular 750 or 550 roof vents must be installed as an alternative. A power fan can also drastically increase the airflow in your attic. Having the proper ventilation in your home allows your roof to breathe.
